Crisis Management

Disasters happen. The first public relations key to managing a disaster is to take control of the situation, and let the public know that you are doing that. Since the news media is always the first on the scene, it is imperative that a well thought out crisis communications plan is immediately in place for maximum damage control. Acting quickly to acknowledge the disaster and take proactive steps to fix the problem and reach out to any victims and/or their families are other important steps that must be taken. Being open and honest at all costs, communicating both internally and externally about the disaster and keeping the information flow open will allow a company to get beyond even the worst scenarios.

StarToplin works closely with clients to anticipate problems, create crisis communications strategies that are tested and effective and available at a moment's notice, to coach executives and work with media to manage a problem from start to finish.
